About Cure Hospital – Afghanistan

Background

Cure Hospital is primarily a teaching hospital with services in family medicine, internal medicine, paediatrics, OBGYN, pathology, general surgery, plastic surgery and orthopaedics. The paediatric component of Cure Hospital provides care and consultation services for all children treated at the Hospital or the Family Health Centre as inpatients or outpatients whether routinely or in an emergency situation.

Cure Hospital runs a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). These services need the leadership of an experienced paediatrician.

The Head of Paediatrics will be responsible for establishing and maintaining good evidence-based, standards of care for patients, both public and private. He/she will be responsible to train and teach the principles of paediatric and neonatal care along with the necesary techniques to doctors training at Cure Hospital and to oversee the practice of paediatrics by these doctors.

The Paediatrician is also responsible for continuing the improvement in quality of care, education and administration of the department.
