SEO is a local NGO founded in 2008 to assist in humanitarian aid, education, returnees, internally Displaced People (IDPs), economic development, demand-driven vocational training, apprenticeship, income generation projects, and legal assistance. SEO's current projects in Afghanistan include Emergency Response, Food Assistance Distribution, Education, Legal Assistance, and Economic Growth for marginalized populations, Returnees, Internally Displaced Persons, and vulnerable families.

Job Description

Overview: The Employment Specialist will support participants in securing employment opportunities. This role involves job placement services, career counseling, and building partnerships with employers to create job opportunities for Afghan women.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Placement:
- Assist participants in identifying and applying for suitable job opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers to facilitate job placements.
Career Counseling:
- Provide one-on-one career counseling to participants, including resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Conduct career development workshops and seminars.
Employer Engagement:
- Engage with local businesses and organizations to identify employment opportunities for participants.
- Organize job fairs, networking events, and employer engagement activities.
Monitoring and Support:
- Track participants’ employment outcomes and provide ongoing support to ensure job retention.
- Collect feedback from employers and participants to improve job placement services.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment services, job placement, or career counseling.
Strong understanding of the local job market and employer needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in Dari, Pashto, and English.
