Aga Khan Health Service, Afghanistan (AKHS,A), an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), is a long-term partner of the ‘Ministry of Public Health, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’ for the implementation of “Basic Package of Health Services” in three provinces (Baghlan, Bamyan and Badakhshan), and implementation of Essential Package of Hospital Service (EPHS) in Badakhshan and Bamyan province. AKHS-A is implementing three Community Midwifery Education Program Schools each in Bamyan, Badakhshan and Baghlan.
1.Conduct review of patients.
2.Run clinics on a regular basis.
3.Monitor patient’s progress on a regular basis.
4.Attend to emergency cases when necessary.
5.Carry out emergency and non-emergency procedures.
6.counsel patients and relatives on oral hygiene instruction and demonstration techniques. Deletion oral habit.
7. Develop appropriate policies and procedures for patients’ health care to formulate best practice guidelines.
8.Ensure timely availability of required services in the process of treating patients, particularly when referred by other clinics and hospitals.
9.provide oral hygiene education to clients.
10.training of dental nurse assistant.
11.Participate constructively during appraisals and be willing to give and take constructive criticism when necessary for professional growth.
12.Maintain a warm and friendly relationship with employee, associate, customers, and suppliers.
13.Maintain an atmosphere of acceptance and support within the department and hospital.
14.Create, uphold and promote a positive hospitals image.
15.Ensure effective utilization of resources and provision of quality health care services in the hospital.
16.Implement infection prevention measures in dental unit.
17.Assess in dental equipment installation and take care of them.
18.Maintain inventory and control equipment.
19.Carry out any other task given by supervisor.
Education: Dentist Doctor.
Work Experience: Two years of working experience in hospitals/Clinic particularly in Dental department.
Skills: local or willing Good communication skill in both Dari and English and proven management ability.
