Medair is an international humanitarian organization established in 1988. Medair has been operating in Afghanistan since 1996 with programs mainly in the Health, Water & Sanitation, and Livelihoods sectors with significant reconstruction activities in remote areas. Current projects are Water & Sanitation, Food Security, & Disaster Risk Reduction
Medair Afghanistan has been operating since 1996 and currently works in three provinces: Daykundi, Uruzgan, and Kandahar. The country's main office is in Kabul, with multiple field offices. Medair implements WASH, Food Security, Health and Nutrition programming.
Overall Purpose
The primary objective of the post holder is to ensure creation and maintenance of Data Management (DM) tools and convert project specific data collection tools (excel) created by the project teams into DM tools (create ODK forms, create Qlik dashboards), and link to Shared Services Centre (for Qlik, ONA accounts). Act as the Data Steward according to the GSO requirements. The position provides support to project staff in term of OKD, ONA and Qlik. Responsible on data management, accessibility and provide high quality technical support for capacity building of project staff.
Project Overview
Medair is implementing an integrated Health, Nutrition, WASH and Food Security project in 3 provinces of Afghanistan (Kandahar, Uruzgan and Daikundi). Medair’s multisector project seeks to respond humanitarian needs and foster resilience among conflict affected and underserved communities in hard-to-reach areas in Afghanistan. Underlying vulnerabilities have been exacerbated by COVID-19, drought, and conflict, leading to reduced access to WASH services and basic health care, a huge increase in acute malnutrition and emergency levels of acute food insecurity.
