SCI - Afghanistan
Save the Children has been working in Afghanistan since 1976. Our way of working close to people and on their own terms has enabled us to deliver lasting change to tens of thousands of children in the country. The UN Convention of the Rights of the Child is the basis of our work.
We are helping children get a better education, we make it possible for more boys and girls to attend school, we help children protect themselves and influence their own conditions. We work with families, communities and health workers in homes, clinics and hospitals to promote basic health in order to save lives of children and mothers
ROLE PURPOSE: The purpose of creating this position is to support implementation of SCI's Multi-Sectors interventions within KDR province.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
• Support the Humanitarian/DRR Coordinator to prepare the Reports and presentations
• Participation in the assessment and Response if needed.
• To update the Data, documentation
• Develop a work plan and activity reports
• Before data entry each questionnaire should be checked and then coded and entry to database
• Translate each question into English with meaningful words and update the KOBO URL line based on the checklist received from surveyors.
• Ensure timely management of data collection, questionnaires check and timely transmission of collected data to Humanitarian-DRR Program Coordinator.
• To ensure quality data collection based on designated questionnaires.
• Be sure the entry process will conducting in standards manner of acceptable.
• Review and refine existing data against reliable sources to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency of data;
• Enter information into designated fields in the appropriate format;
• Decipher poor hand-writing, garbled recordings, or faded text and resolving inconsistencies;
• Request further information for documents that are deemed incomplete;
• Check completed work for errors before submitting the final product;
• Ensure completion of data entry assignments within prescribed timeframes;
• Generate reports and make fiscal comparisons;
• Using keyboards, data and/or number keypads enter information from a range of hard-copy sources into designated spreadsheets, databases and/or the HF system. Prepare existing data for entry into HF. Manipulate digital files, operate a scanner, copy data, file and retrieve documents, and other related duties

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree in the relevant field

• Good Writing and speaking skill in Pashto and English
• 2 years of experience in the relevant fields
• Familiarity with local culture of Kandahar province
