SCA Background

The Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA) has been working in Afghanistan since 1982, presently managing development Programs concerning Health, Education, Rural Livelihoods and Community Governance, with a total annual budget of roughly USD 40 million. The total number of staff is slightly over 7,386.During the last 10 years SCA has undertaken a change process moving from a primarily humanitarian service delivery approach towards more of a developmental role, putting increasing emphasis on capacity development, rights-based programming, and outcome orientation. The mission of SCA is to empower individuals, communities, and local organizations, primarily in rural areas and with particular focus on women, girls, boys and vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, so that they may participate fully in society and influence their own development. Job Description

Scope of work:

Data enumerators are responsible to collect data for Programme Quality Monitoring (PQM) and other SCA related internal studies conducting for disability, rural development, health and education Programme departments and other Admin, support and cross cuttings units.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Enumerator is obliged to follow the samples and instructions provided by the PMER team.
  • Collect data from the selected sample as provided by the PMER team to visit all those areas where the sample target exists.
  • The enumerator is responsible for the data collection and data entry to KOBO Toolbox.
  • SCA will be responsible for paying local transport cost to enumerator at the end of task.
  • Enumerator is obliged to travels to field sites even in insecure area to collect and record data and/or samples as appropriate to the specific objectives of the study.
  • The enumerator is responsible to conducts and records face-to-face interview with the respondents
  • Respect to the respondent’s idea during the interview process
  • Reviews and edits data to ensure completeness and accuracy of information
  • The enumerator should collect the data completely and accurately from the field and meet the deadline.
  • Communicate to the Regional senior officer any issues that might arise during data collection in the field
 

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years experience in Data collection experience in the field of research and evaluations (Disability, rural development, health, and education) or in the field of M&E
  • Good communication skill and ability to pass the massage/questions in local languages to the respondents.
  • Fluency in local languages (Dari and Pashto) and full command on English Language (Speaking & Written)
  • Good Interpersonal and communication skills and team player
  • Ability and willingness to travel to the project sites within SCA’s working districts and villages
  • Honest, proactive and well mannered
  • To be Afghan Citizen.
  • The applicants must be the residents of district in where S/he applies for.
