QUALIFICATIONS
Some; literate to keep track of payments and expenditures.
Experience in the relevant field (5 years).
Good communication skills.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Ability to cook well
Basic understanding of good nutrition
Organizational / multi-tasking skills
Good understanding of hygiene
ROLE PURPOSE:
Cook will work in Sancaharak staff house and will provide daily lunch, dinner and regular tea service.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
1. Maintain a clean/sanitary kitchen.
2. Order kitchen supplies and equipment as needed.
3. Purchase food and tea items.
4. Maintain inventory records of food/tea items, and submit regular expenditure reports to relevant administration officer.
5. Prepare and serve daily lunch, and tea for staff and visitors.
6. Collect lunch money from staffs on a regular basis.
7. Clean the lunch room(s) daily.
8. Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
