About DAARTT (Danish Assistance to Afghan Rehabilitation and Technical Training)

DAARTT (Danish Assistance to Afghan Rehabilitation and Technical Training) is an NGO established in Afghanistan by the Danish People’s Aid (DPA) in 2003.

The organization is specialized in construction and has built more than 200 schools, clinics and other buildings in Afghanistan, but is also engaged in humanitarian activities, such as construction of wells for drought-hit families and distribution of non-food items and emergency cash to people in need. Activities are funded by AHF and Danish humanitarian funds. DAARTT is a member of ACBAR and of the Shelter and NFI, WASH and education clusters

Job Description

Conduct surveys and assessments in the communities and provide feedback and suggestions for the implementation & development of the program
Collect data and information about needs at the target areas.
Carry out surveys, assessment and select beneficiaries in the target areas
Identifying and select beneficiaries according to projects selection criteria
Closely coordinate with Relevant Government Departments especially ANDMA, MoRR and local authorities.
Involve Community Representatives throughout the process of assessment and project implementation.
Conduct baseline surveys on community, develop and implement community mobilization plan;
Provide report and findings of the survey to main office for data analysis and future uses.
Actively participate in the humanitarian assistance distribution in the community.
Raise Awareness on Covid-19 and its mitigation.
Support periodic field-based training needs’ assessments.
Must have strong communication skills in local language sense of identifying recording and promotion of community indigenous innovations.
Resolves any dispute related to projects interventions.
Keep update data proper documentation filling and reporting to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
Complete all project related planned activities in the scheduled timeframe.
Conduct meetings with the Local Community Shuras Elders and CDCs and Islamic Scholars.
Maintain close links and coordination with communities, local authorities and other NGOs present in the area.

Job Requirements

High schools or bachelor’s degree
2 years of experience in field implementation, mobilization, working with communities and carrying out assessments
Familiar with local languages
Familiar with local traditions and Customs
Has ability to produce reports’
