Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the defined role and contribute in the over all implementation of IMC Kunar Office’s STAR/WASH project

Main Duties & Responsibilities: 

  1. Check that the project activities are clear to the members of the community.
  2. Mobilize the beneficiaries to participate in the project according to the agreement made with them.
  3. Identify and train the WASH committee members
  4. Conduct solid waste clean-up campaigns
  5. Follow the advancement of activities and adoption of the program by the beneficiaries
  6. Propose solutions to the problems encountered
  7. Participate actively in the training of communities
  8. Organize workshops and meetings when necessary
  9. To monitor the progress of the project
  10. Write a weekly activity report and submit to the WASH officer

Organizational Responsibilities: 

Policy Adherence

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct, maintain humanitarian principles and respect international humanitarian law.

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse:

  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

Compliance & Ethics:

  • Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.  Conducts work with the highest level of integrity

Safeguarding

  • It is all staff’s shared responsibility and obligation to safeguard and protect populations with whom we work, including adults who may be particularly vulnerable and children. This includes safeguarding from the following conduct by our staff or partners: sexual exploitation and abuse; exploitation, neglect, or abuse of children and adults at risk; and any form of trafficking in persons. 

 

Job Requirements

Education:

Univeristy Graduate ''Social Science''

Experience:

at least one year's experience in moblizing commuinties and relevant field. 

Competency: 

  1. Good communication Skills in English, Dari and Pashto
  2. Excellent interpersonal Skills
  3. Good coordination skills
  4. Having team work skills
  5. ability work under pressure
