About this role:
This position will primarily focus on enhancing the core skills of healthcare professionals, including referral-level practitioners, in vital areas such as Essential Care for Every Baby (ECEB), Essential Care for Small Babies (ECSB) – encompassing Kangaroo Mother Care, management of sick newborns, family planning (inclusive of Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives [LARC]), handling postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), pre-eclampsia and eclampsia (PEE), and ensuring safe C-Section surgeries. This includes targeted training for surgeons, female obstetricians and gynecologists, medical doctors, midwives, and nurses. Integration of respectful and gender-sensitive care within the TST approach, alongside the implementation of the group care model (such as GANC and GPNC)

Ensure that health care services provided by provincial health facilities comply with quality standards to ensure that services meet program requirements, respectful care, and client expectations and satisfaction.
Participate in implementing an integrated clinical mentorship system and innovative approaches in selected health centers to continuously contribute to improving the delivery of quality services.
Provide clinical and technical support to the health system to effectively and efficiently manage different quality dimensions, and participate in operations, applied research, and evaluation to constantly improve quality.
Participate in the implementation of a quality improvement measurement framework, routine monitoring, and periodic assessment of continuous quality improvement, and report progress.
Provide ongoing support to health facilities in continuous clinical mentorship and strengthen teams in targeted health facilities to guarantee the sustainability of Quality Management across all services.
Participate in the capacity building of health providers to continuously improve their competencies to bridge performance gaps.
Support and follow up on the collaborative improvements approach to reinforce the peer review process through sharing lessons learned and best practices adopted to continuously bridge performance gaps.
Participate in building strong, transparent, and effective leadership for quality to support the institutionalization of quality standard setting, monitoring, and assessment in the day-to-day routine work.
Report accurately and on time all data relevant to each specific approach (mentorship, AIM bundle, GANC/GPNC, Safe C-section surgery) and formal trainings performed as required; and share analysis of data with relevant stakeholders (QI committee members, AIM Action Committee members, etc.).
Work with professional institutions to establish mini-skills labs in provincial hospitals.
