About MSI Reproductive Choices Afghanistan (MSIA)

MSI Reproductive Choices Afghanistan (MSIA) is a branch of MSI, a global, non-profit, and non-governmental organization headquartered in London, UK, and was established in August 2002 after registration with the Government of Afghanistan. MSIA follows the local mission statement of MSI: Improve Afghan women’s health and well-being so that they can, in turn, build strong, healthy families. Our vision is to be the organization that Afghan women seek out for high-quality, client-centered health care provided by women, for women.

We focus on reducing maternal mortality by providing quality and sustainable maternal-child health (MCH) and reproductive health (RH) services and information in 17 provinces of Afghanistan, namely Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Jawzjan Faryab, Nangarhar, Helmand, Kandahar, Baghlan, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Takhar, Samangan, Kapisa, Khost, Paktia, and Daikundi, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) of Afghanistan. 

MSIA strives to enhance women's health outcomes in the aforementioned provinces by delivering vital reproductive and maternal-child health services through multiple channels such as centers, outreaches, the private sector, and MS Ladies (Family Health Houses).

Job Description

    • Properly understanding MSIA’s mission and vision.
    • Maintaining disciplined and friendly behaviour with clinic clients
    • Getting full knowledge of CLIC software for proper data entry
    • Maintaining a reporting schedule and reporting systems
    • Client filing systems are to be maintained in accordance with CLIC requirements.
    • Keeping client files and information confidential at all times.
    • Accurate interpretation, compilation, and entry of data in the CLIC system
    • Proper analysis and verification to ensure data integrity
    • Storing correct information in the desired database locations (completing all client-required information in the CLIC Reporting System)
    • Completion of the required task within the desired deadlines
    • Manage additional responsibilities, including troubleshooting, file backups, regular updating, and retrieval of data as and when required.
    • Being responsible for sending daily CLIC reports and data extracts to the CLIC team on a daily or weekly basis
    • Protects the organisation’s value by keeping information confidential.
    • To be able to work outside of normal working hours.
    • Assistance in keeping your work areas in the centre tidy, neat, and clean
    • Being responsible for keeping data backups on a weekly basis
  • Reporting monthly staff fingerprint attendances (hard and soft)
  • Keeping client confidentiality is important, and you are not allowed to share any information about clients outside the organisation with unauthorised people in the organisation.
  • Fix the IT system only when you can at your clinic; in case of an IT problem, contact the BI or IT team.
  • Maintaining good teamwork with all related staff
  • You are required to demonstrate excellent behaviour with clients.
  • To strengthen the referral system and refer patients to medical staff or other clinic facilities when needed.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualification: 

 

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related fields.

- Fluency in local languages and English is a must.

- Good communication skills and the ability to interact successfully with staff and clients

- knowledge of using smartphones and internet applications over Android and computers

- Having good typing skills on an English keyboard

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in related fields

- Experience working in NGOs is an asset, preferably in health-related sectors.

- Ability to work well with others in team environments

- Should be able to work in deadline-driven or results-oriented atmospheres.

- Excellent organisational and multi-tasking capabilities.
