Movement for protection Organization – MPO is an Afghan National, Non-profitable, non-political, non-governmental civil society organization established in 2007, registered with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan as registration # 1016. MPO is working for protection and emergency response education, livelihood and economic development advocacy and peace building.
General Purpose of the job: Child Protection and PSEA Specialist/ Regional Coordinator is responsible for physical activity and budget planning, timely implementation, monitoring and evaluation and report preparation of the grant using the donor templates. She/he is expected to closely work with MPO Head Office and project team to ensure timely and quality implementation, and reporting of the project. The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall physical implementation of activities according to the timeline and budget utilization of the grant through a meaningful support of the field team and MPO Head Office. Specific duties and responsibilities: Management of Kahdahar & Nimroz Provinces Projects activities. Supervision of all Project Activities and Management of all Project Staff, Capacity Building of Project Staff in Child protection, PSEA, GBV Conducting Coordination Meetings with relevant stockholders for better implementation of the project. Reporting of implemented activities to the Program Manager and donor. Stentings the official relationship with Government.
Qualification Minimum bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Social Work, Education, Business Administration) or similar fields and master’s degree is preferable Experience At least five years in a Program/Operations management position with significant supervision experience (experience with an I/NGO in a similar position an advantage) At least three years’ experience in relevant field (protection, child protection, education, community engagement etc) Strong experience implementing projects with a demonstrated knowledge of both humanitarian and post-conflict programming. Language Skills Fluency in spoken and written English and knowledge of local languages is essential. Other requirements Strong organizational skills, ability to coordinate and manage a diverse range of responsibilities: programs, operations, logistics, security, finance, etc. Having functional/job-related knowledge of financial management Demonstrated experience in mentoring/ capacity building of staff and commitment to staff training and development. Be able to travel to other sites for support when assigned by the direct line manager. Excellent interpersonal and representational skills. Good communication and report writing skills essential. Remains productive when under pressure. Flexibility and proven team player with ability to cultivate and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other organisations. To have extensive knowledge of the context security, the security and safety management in general Computer skills: MS Office package and Internet.
