The training and capacity building specialist is responsible for conducting CARE training needs assessments, providing instructional design, delivery, and capacity building trainings and learning strategies for ABADEI project. The specialist is also responsible for providing corporate leadership to promote high-quality project implementation, support excellent training service, targeted capacity building and user-friendly resources and tools to achieve CARE objectives and goals.

• Provides technical support to staff and activity in the areas of training needs assessments, training plan development, delivery, train-the-trainer, learning strategies, and training evaluation reports.
• Contributes to creating a learning culture. Communicates importance of learning and capacity building to internal and external stakeholders
• Consistently produces excellent quality work products in conformance with CARE learning standards.
• Identifies learning methodologies and tools that most effectively build the capacity of activity management teams in ABADEI project regulations and project management.
• Develops materials, including but not limited to instructor guides, participant guides, and job aides.
• Creates a pool of trained in-house facilitators to lead various training sessions, lunch and learns, brown bags, and other types of learning opportunities.
• Supports the development of documentation, resources, and written materials relating to the training programs, including manuals development, updates, use, and refreshes, standard operating procedures, and workshop materials to support consistent quality assurance.
• Develops a system to track and monitor training attendance, completion of training modules, and knowledge acquisition by staff.
• Maintains and expands technical knowledge in instructional design and training delivery by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Stays abreast of advancements in the training field, benchmarks programs, and analyzes their potential application to the home office and activity teams.
• Facilitates training workshops and meetings and is responsible for developing agendas to achieve stated objectives, documenting progress, agreements, and issues, and providing follow-up assistance as required.
• Coordinates skills training in management and leadership development initiatives for staff
• Manages internal and external training method including virtual sessions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:
At least bachelor’s degree in management arts, social science, economic. Master’s degree in above areas preferred.
Work Experience:
5 years of work experience in the field of capacity building and change management or related issues.
Languages Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication in English and fluency in Dari and/or Pashtu languages.
