Summary of Key Functions:
The Agribusiness Officer will support the Agribusiness Specialist in the implementation of CBARD project agribusiness component. He/she will assist in facilitating operations, identifying, developing and expanding agribusiness income generation opportunities for the project beneficiaries and program participants. Collaborate with the agribusiness Specialist in planning, developing, and facilitating comprehensive technical assistance, agribusiness market linkages, and agriculture extension support with emphasis on increasing profitability of agribusiness income generation opportunities.
Key relations:
Internal: Project manager, Project supervisor, livelihood officer, Program Quality Unit, project beneficiaries, government related departments, NGOs (local and national), forums, CARE internal departments.
External: Government relevant counterparts, Microfinance Associations, Private Sectors, Project’s Stakeholders, target communities and business institutions.
Duty Locations:
Balkh sub office with regular visits to targeted districts in Balkh.

Excellent computer skills especially in Word and Excel.

Education:
University degree in Agriculture discipline, economics, business administration or related subjects required. master’s degree in above discipline will be given preference.
Work Experience:
Minimum 3 years of working experience in related field.
Languages Skills:
Fluency in written and spoken English, Dari and/or Pushto languages required.
