Adroit Associates is an international development firm specializing in four pivotal domains that collectively aim to promote prosperity and resilience, specifically in conflict-affected and fragile contexts. Their expertise spans Research and Analysis, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), Institutional Strengthening, and Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC). As passionate, data-driven professionals, they are committed to making a real difference in some of the world’s most challenging settings.
Their leadership and most staff, as well as those of their local partners, hail from and reside in the conflict-affected regions they serve. This deep-rooted connection, combined with their extensive on-the-ground experience, uniquely positions them as experts on the distinct challenges and opportunities these regions present.
In 2022, Adroit Associates broadened its impact by forging strategic partnerships with capable local partners in the Middle East and Africa. Combining their efforts and sharing their knowledge and experience with their local partners, their reach now is broad and deep, experientially and intellectually.
Adroit Associates collaborates with governments, civil society organizations, international aid and development organizations, and corporations through a combination of robust, data-driven research and deep, place-based engagement to make international development more effective, inclusive, and sustainable. They harness the power of evidence and data to co-design and deliver solutions that contribute to transforming the extraordinarily vulnerable communities they serve.
Adroit Associates invites students, academicians, researchers, and development practitioners from Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Yemen to take part in its flagship international Fellowship Program and to take advantage of the opportunity to engage actively in Adroit Associates’ mission of empowering local communities in underdeveloped, conflict-affected, and fragile contexts.
Adroit Associates aims to award five fellowships each year. Fellows would be supported to work on a research project for nine months and develop a report based on their findings. They are encouraged to interact with policymakers in their respective countries, with Adroit Associates staff, and with other fellows working on similar research and topics.
