Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD) is a Non-governmental, Non-political, Non-profitable and independent organization founded in 2010 by a group of community development and research specialist. The aim of the organization is to contribute to the development of Afghanistan as an integral part of the international community. It envisages accomplishing its aims by building local capacities, generating evidence in various disciplines, promoting evidence-based on best practices and implementing development projects aimed at community development at the grass root level. ORCD is a multi-donor funded NGO, implementing health, agriculture and community development projects in several provinces of the country.
ORCD would like to implement Mobile Health and Nutrition Services (MHNT) Logar province funded by (UNICEF) for which it would like to seek qualified people.
The Finance officer is responsible to manage the Finance activities, maintain of accurate records of expenditures from the field and headquarters in order to monitor the fin status of the project financial activities and preparing salary for ORCD CBNP Project staff. He or she should be able to communicate in Dari, Pashto and English languages, and should have excellent computer skills. He or she must be honest, active, and well mannered (polite and cooperative with all members of ORCD team).
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure all financial disbursements at the project site must remain within budget allotments and to assist the management team in planning operational activities accordingly.
Ensure that all procurement is completed in accordance with the ORCD financial Policies and Procedures and donor requirements.
Ensure adequate funding for all procurement needs.
Assist the Finance Manager in preparing appropriate financial reports as required.
He/She will report to Finance Manager for all financial matters.
Financial activities coordination with field and head office financial staff.
Any other tasks assigned by ORCD management/Finance Manager.
Supervision and Monitoring of Accountant and Cashier.
